PATH TO RESPONSIBLE LAUNCH
Launch readiness
This is a planning document, not a token offering or a promise to launch. No deposits, sale, pool, or live NOVA asset are enabled here.
Preliminary name check: other projects already use NOVA, including a listed NOVA asset. The name and ticker are not exclusive or cleared for Novara; trademark and registry checks remain necessary.
Nothing to buy or bridge
NOVA is a proposed name for a future native coin. Never send funds to an address claiming to sell or mint NOVA from this site.
TWO VERY DIFFERENT PATHS
Native coin or hosted token?
Native NOVA on its own chain
Created in an independent genesis state; pays that chain’s fees. Requires consensus, validator operations, secure RPC, explorer, incident response, wallet network support, and a funded long-term operating team.
Time: typically months of engineering and review, not a one-click deployment.
Cost: local software pilot can be free; persistent diverse infrastructure, audits, and operations are recurring costs.
Risk: security and availability of the entire chain are Novara’s responsibility.
Token on an existing chain
An ERC-20-style contract uses another network’s consensus and gas asset. It is not Novara’s independent blockchain or native coin, even if its symbol were NOVA.
Time: a test contract can be prototyped in days; safe public issuance takes much longer.
Cost: deployment and transfer gas, contract review, compliance, and optional liquidity capital.
Risk: contract bugs, admin-key abuse, underlying-chain risk, and bridge risk if moving assets.
GATES BEFORE USERS
The work that cannot be skipped
Identity & economics
Check NOVA name and ticker across chain registries, token listings, and trademarks; choose issuance, supply, allocations, fee policy, and governance transparently.
Network & uptime
Build a four-validator Besu QBFT pilot with distinct operators, then fund persistent hosts, redundant RPC, TLS, DNS, monitoring, backups, and recovery drills.
Wallet acceptance
Test real network-add on named wallet versions; verify chain ID, balance, signing, transfer, receipt, reconnect, and wrong-chain handling.
Independent security
Commission protocol, genesis, node configuration, key management, RPC exposure, and app reviews. Fix findings before public funds or access.
Legal & market access
Get jurisdiction-specific advice on issuance, custody, consumer disclosures, sanctions, securities, AML, and tax. Exchanges independently decide whether to integrate.
Free first steps
- Use Foundry Anvil for ephemeral EVM transaction tests on your own machine.
- Use the official Besu Docker Compose QBFT quickstart for a four-validator local development pilot.
- Test Sepolia transfers with free test ETH, subject to faucet and RPC limits.
- Publish a reviewed testnet specification and verify chain ID and name before deployment.
Costs that free hosting cannot erase
For a public persistent chain: always-on independent machines/operators, secure networking, domain and TLS operations, backup storage, monitoring, incident response, and independent review require resources. Token deployment on another chain also consumes its network gas. Exchange listings and liquidity require separate agreements and capital. No prices are quoted because scope and vendors are not selected.
